Dr. Alison Jackson, MD

Alison grew up in the Midwest and moved to Colorado in the 1980’s where she attended college at Colorado College.

After falling in love with the western lifestyle, she remained in Colorado and attended medical school at the University of Colorado Health Science Center in Denver where she graduated Summa cum laude.

She then attended her Family Medicine Residency at St. Anthony’s Central Hospital.  Since then, she has been working in Durango as a family physician in a group setting, delivering over 200 children to our community, and caring for all ages and assisting in their growth and health.

Then while raising her own son, she starting concentrating on women’s health, and became a certified bone densitometrist though the International Society of Bone Densitometrist.

She incorporated this knowledge into heading an osteoporosis screening clinic in Durango for 7 years.

Now venturing on her own, she has devoted her full attention toward delivering care in a small clinic environment, devoted to individualized care with each patient.

When not in the office, she is busy keeping up with her family.  She and her husband Paul and son Wesley, enjoy skiing, biking, hiking and backpacking in Southwestern Colorado.
